Japan research

Japan is a small country off mainland Asia with millions of people. Japan is made up of thousands of islands in Japan they have they have the most population. 

Location And geography 

A small island in  the pacific ocean off mainland Asia japan is made up of 6,852 small islands. Tokyo is Japan's capital city (eastern capital).

culture and tradition 

Early Japanese culture was influenced by China. Edo era was isolated from the rest of the world. Western culture is a huge influence. in the 12th century two rival clans the Minamoto and Taira backing claimants to the imperial throne history. Prior to 1868 Tokyo was known as Edo a small castle in the 16th century. Edo became Japan's political center in 1603. When Tokugawa leysau established his feudal government. there a few decades later Edo had grown into one of the world's most populous cities then it was renamed Tokyo. Large parts of Tokyo were destroyed in the great Kanto earthquake of 1923 and in the air raids of 1945. Japan as we know began to coalesce around AD 300. The most populous islands are Honshu Hokkaido Shikoku And Kyushu. Making 97% of the country. Within these islands, there are 47 prefectures with a total population of 127 million (11th in the world) Which is a massive 73%of the countries mountains however a majority of people live on the coastlines making it one of the most densely populated countries in the world.  Tokyo offers a seemingly unlimited choice of shopping, Tokyo offers a number of green spaces in the city center.

sports 

in Japan the most-watched sport is baseball. Sports play a massive role in Japanese culture sumo, judo and karate are traditional Japanese sports and baseball, soccer and rugby have been adopted from other cultures. Sumo is the national sport of Japan and is mainly practiced in japan.
