The easiest part for me was drawing it because I copied it off my crome book. The most difficult part for me was going over it with a vivid because the gaps weren't big enough.

Art colouring book

Today in Whenua we did the first activity of the summer learning journey for the first activity it was an art colouring book above is all the pictures I coloured in hope you enjoy. The easiest part for me was colouring in because it was very simple because you chose a colour and click on the part you want it to colour in. The easiest part for me was researching for the coldest place because it was pretty obvious what it was.  Today in Whenua we had to write a comic on a picture book of our choice and I chose hairy maclary above is my comic all together hope you enjoy. The easiest part for me was choosing a book because I didn't know half of them and I wanted to do one I knew. And the most difficult part for me was making the comic because you can't copy something to put it in the next part you have to find it so that was annoying. By Harrison 

Pobble writing

 On Christmas Eve they came…

She had first seen them through the sitting room window, as she peeked out cautiously through a gap in the curtains.

Opening the front door, the little girl took a sharp intake of breath as thousands upon thousands of snowmen stared at her. Many of the small, white figures carried signs, written in different languages.

They must have traveled from all over the world to be here, on this special night of the year to see     her just her, Maybe they are bringing me good luck she thought but why her, she was thinking. Maybe she had been good this year but then she did break the tv, oh but that was an accident and everyone makes mistakes. Then her sister reminded her she also broke the front door and their mum's window in her room so they probably aren't here for her being good. So what are they here for? Maybe they're just here to make her excited for no reason at all like no reason. probably here for someone else or just to celebrate Christmas with them this year.

Today in Whenua We had to write a story about a picture off pobble today's picture was heaps of snowmen standing there with signs in different languages. hope you enjoy. My favourite part was drawing the snowman because it was simple and fun to do. The most difficult part for me was writing the story becasue i didn't know how to carry on from the story starter. Today in Whenua we did our weekly quiz for the weekly quiz we had to chose a topic that was on the quiz and I chose steven Adams getting traded hope you enjoy it. The easiest part for me was choosing a topic because it was the only thing that I found interesting. The most difficult part for me was finding enough time to get information but I think I got enough. By Harrison

 Today for T shaped literacy I did task 5 the last task we have to do for street art and graffiti here is my and Kohen's song that we made hope you enjoy. The easiest part for me was writing what we were going to say because it only had to be a message. the most difficult part for me was singing it because we lost track of what we were meant to say.  Today in Whenua for our weekly quiz we had to research a topic that was on the quiz and I chose the UK banning petrol and diesel cars. The easiest part for me was choosing a topic because there was only 20 to choose from. And the most difficult part for me was getting the information because I  didn't really understand most of it. Task 3

  

Today in Whenua for T shaped literacy we did task 3 for task 3 we had to do an artist profile on Banksy above is the artist profile hope you enjoy it. the easiest part for me was finding some pictures that he has drawn/painted. My favourite part was looking at his artwork because they look really cool and funny. By Harrison 

Task 2

 In south London, a lot of graffiti and street art have been painted on buildings.

I think that the men should have gone to jail because they didn't have permission to paint on the buildings.  But they have been awarded by the London art gallery and some on buildings that they did the people that owned the buildings said they like the paintings that the artists had done. But I still think that they still need permission to paint on buildings because owners might not like the artwork they do.

 

athletics video

 For the last couple of weeks in Whenua for writing, we have been writing scripts to teach others about a game/sport and I choose athletics because that is my favourite sport. The easiest part for me was making the video because it didn't take long to video and edit. The most difficult part for me was writing the script because you had to write exactly what is happening in the video. By Harrison 

Maths video

Today in Whenua for maths we had to make a video teaching others how to add fractions with different denominators that we were meant to make 2 weeks ago. The most difficult part for me was to get the video done because my Chromebook kept freezing so I had to video on kohen's Chromebook. The easiest part for me was making the video because it only took about 1 minute. By Harrison 

Task 1: painting the town

Today in Whenua for literacy we had to do task 1 painting the town but before we answered the questions we had to read a book on painting the town the book painting the town is based on Christchurch after the earthquake in 2011and about how everyone started painting pictures on the side of things to fill in the empty gaps. My favourite part was looking at the pictures and artwork that some people have created. My least favourite part was the second question because the picture had a message and I didn't understand the message. By Harrison

Last week in Whenua while the year 7s were at tech the year 6s had to make something to explain to our buddy class how to play capture the flag above is a slide and video that we made Hope you enjoy. The easiest part for me was writing the rules because they are very simple and easy to understand. The most difficult part for me was getting all the videos together. Research about dying coral reefs

 Hi, today in Whenua we did our weekly quiz after we did the weekly quiz we had to research the dying of coral reefs but we only had half an hour to get as much information as we can and post it to our blog. My favourite part was reading about it and how long it has been going on for and how they are dying. The most difficult part for me was finding time to get enough information in half an hour. Writing

 Athletics 

Athletics was invented on the 17th of July
1912.

You can have a large number of people (not over 100).

Time: 20 minutes for each subject.

Hi today I am going to be explaining to you how to do athletics and how it works and the amazing things about it.

Subjects: Long jump, high jump, discus, shot put, sprints and long-distance.

Equipment: If you are 10 or over you need spike boots for sprints if you are 10 and over you don’t have to wear them everywhere but if you have them i would wear them everywhere so you have more grip. You need enclosed shoes if you are doing shot putt or discuss just in case you drop the shot putt or discus on your feet but if you don't have shoes you can’t do shot putt or 

discus. 

Rules: When you are doing long jump you need to jump off the mat not off it. In high jump, you need to do the scissor jump. For discus, you can’t walk out the front of the circle it needs to be the back. For shot putt you can’t walk out the front of the circle it needs to be the back and it can’t be a throw it needs to be a push. And for sprints you need to stay in your lane, you can’t go before the buzzer you also can’t push others. Long-distance is exactly the same as sprints except you can change lanes.

Today for writing we had to write instructions about a sport of your choice and I chose athletics above is the instructions on athletics hope you enjoy it. The easiest part for me was getting the pictures for an example. and the most difficult part for me was writing the whole thing because there are about 6 subjects to explain. By Harrison

Today in Whenua We had 30 minutes to research as much as we can about somebody from the quiz that we did earlier and I decided to research Valerie Adams. The easiest part for me was getting the information because she does shot put and there's a lot of information about her medals and achievements.  Today I did my activity on sportsmanship for literacy first we had to read about Novak Djokovic and Parore above is a google drawing on their similarities and differences between the two. The easiest part for me was writing what they do differently do because it was easy to think about what do differently do. And the most difficult part for me was writing what they both do because there wasn't a lot that they both do.

Literacy

 Today for Literacy I did my sportsmanship work above is the work that I did on Novak Djokovic and the answers to the questions you had to answer in full sentences hope you enjoy it. The easiest part for me was reading the article on Novak Djokovic because it only took about five minutes to read in total. And the most difficult part for me was writing why I do agree and why I don't agree because I didn't really know how to explain why I do and don't agree. By Harrison

 Today I did my homework activities from the holidays. The easiest part for me was reading the book the book was pretty hard to understand because every time I stopped reading I wasn't at the end of the chapter and I would forget what happened at the start of the chapter. And the most difficult part for me was doing the activity on the character because it didn't say that much about them.

What makes a good sportsmanship

 

For this weeks literacy, my class has been doing what makes good sportsmanship. the easiest part for me was thinking of what makes good sportsmanship it was even easier if you play sports because you would know a lot about sportsmanship. And the most difficult part for me was putting it on a google drawing because I didn't know what I hadn't already written and what I haven't written. By Harrison

Inquiry

 Today when the year 7s were at tech we had to research refugee camps if you get good information you can win 100 house points and if you have a great caption you also get 100 house points and if it's eye-catching you get another 100 and if you get all 3 you get a bonus 100 so that's 400 house points.. the easiest part for me was finding a web site I only got the information from two websites. The most difficult part for me was finding interesting information because a lot of it was people's stories from when people got fleed. By Harrison   

Japan research

Japan is a small country off mainland Asia with millions of people. Japan is made up of thousands of islands in Japan they have they have the most population. 

Location And geography 

A small island in  the pacific ocean off mainland Asia japan is made up of 6,852 small islands. Tokyo is Japan's capital city (eastern capital).

culture and tradition 

Early Japanese culture was influenced by China. Edo era was isolated from the rest of the world. Western culture is a huge influence. in the 12th century two rival clans the Minamoto and Taira backing claimants to the imperial throne history. Prior to 1868 Tokyo was known as Edo a small castle in the 16th century. Edo became Japan's political center in 1603. When Tokugawa leysau established his feudal government. there a few decades later Edo had grown into one of the world's most populous cities then it was renamed Tokyo. Large parts of Tokyo were destroyed in the great Kanto earthquake of 1923 and in the air raids of 1945. Japan as we know began to coalesce around AD 300. The most populous islands are Honshu Hokkaido Shikoku And Kyushu. Making 97% of the country. Within these islands, there are 47 prefectures with a total population of 127 million (11th in the world) Which is a massive 73%of the countries mountains however a majority of people live on the coastlines making it one of the most densely populated countries in the world.  Tokyo offers a seemingly unlimited choice of shopping, Tokyo offers a number of green spaces in the city center.

sports 

in Japan the most-watched sport is baseball. Sports play a massive role in Japanese culture sumo, judo and karate are traditional Japanese sports and baseball, soccer and rugby have been adopted from other cultures. Sumo is the national sport of Japan and is mainly practiced in japan.

Today for literacy medals we had to predict and write interesting facts about our novels above is what I wrote for the wind singer. the easiest part for me was getting the picture because I just went to google and searched up the wind singer and it came up with the front cover of the book.
