Summer learning journey activity 3

Today for the summer learning journey it is about what a certain charity is.

The charity that I'm going to write about is Ronald Mcdonald House south island, I have visited Ronald Mcdonald house to see one of my friends that is staying there while he is having his treatment in Christchurch hospital.

Ronald Mcdonald house is where children and their families can stay for free when they need health care in Christchurch. They also provide food for people that are staying there and help make it a little bit easier on them. There is also a lot of fun stuff to do there like outside there is a trampoline, a basketball hoop, a playground and heaps of bikes and inside there is the lounge, the teenage room, and a computer room.

It is a really good charity to donate to if you can.

  1. Hi again!

Awesome post Harrison! I really love this one! You’ve done an amazing job of describing what the Ronald McDonald house charity does. They are such an amazing charity and you have done really well to explain what they do! I didn’t realise they had so many fun things for people to do! That is so cool! Thank you for teaching me that they have things like basketball hoops and trampolines! I’m sure this post will help educate many other people!

That is so nice that you could go and visit you friend during his treatment! I’m sure that was very special for both of you! :)

Thank you for creating such a detailed and informative explanation of what this charity has done! You have done really well on this one! Keep it up!

    Matilda :)
