Summer learning journey

Day 4: Individual pursuits

I watched the video on Venus Williams here are three things I learned on the video

1: By the age of ten she was able to hit the ball 100mph.

2: Venus won Wimbledon, the U.S Open and a gold medal in the Olympics in the year 2000.

3: She bet her sister in 2008 Wimbledon.

And one thing that I would still like to know is if she is still playing professional tennis.

  1. Hey Harrison It's Kohen here,i really like how you put down that the she can hit the ball up to about 100mph i play tenis and i can only hit the ball up to about 20mph and that is still quite fast but not that fast. I like how you have wrote all the facts down and the photo. I really like it but maybe next time you could add a bit more facts or writing.

  2. Good morning!

Nice one Harrison! You have found out some really interesting facts about Venus Williams. Nice work!

100mph is so fast! I can’t believe she could hit the ball that fast when she was ten! I wonder how much time she spent practicing when she was a kid?

Wow! It sounds like the year 2000 was a really good one for her! Imagine winning all those things in just one year! That’s amazing!

I wonder if she found it hard to play her sister in 2008? I don’t think I would like to play against my sister. Do you think it would feel weird to play against your siblings?

You have done really well to find out these facts about Venus Williams! I didn’t know that she could hit a ball that fast when she was ten! Thank you for teaching me!

Well done Harrison! Keep it up!

    Matilda :)
