Summer learning journey

Today for the summer learning journey activity 2 day 4 Celebrating Diversity 

Maya people 

1: there are 30 Mayan languages.

2: they invented the mathematical concept of zero. 

Australian Aboriginal people 

1: They were Australia's first people they lived there for over 50,000 years.

2: There are 250 distinct languages spread over Australia.

    Great work watching these you tube videos all about the different people. It is amazing that there are so many different races of people with their own cultures and history in the world.
    I didn't know anything about the Maya people so I watched the video too. I found this so very interesting. Such a different world to live in.

    The Aboriginal people I knew a little bit about as my Mum was born in Australia. There history with the English people is quite sad and they were treated very badly. It is great to see that they now use some traditional aboriginal dances at international sporting events now. For a long time they didn't.

    Thanks for sharing your work with us. I enjoyed reading your facts and then watching and learning about the Maya people.
